Our U.S. team leads the design of battery cells, modules, packs, and complete energy storage systems. Transformer and PowerPlatform engineering is carried out across our U.S. and Türkiye operations, with an additional 10,000 sq ft of dedicated engineering space at our battery manufacturing facility in Türkiye.
System and project engineering
Specified as one system from the start.
System sizing.
Nord-Cell storage, Nord-Trans transformers, switchgear, and controls are specified and sized together as one system, coordinated with partner-supplied power conversion.
Project engineering.
Our engineers provide project engineering support, including single-line diagrams and model files for the interconnection consultant.
Controls & System Architecture
Controls specified with the electrical architecture.
Controls and SCADA.
Integrated controls and SCADA integration are specified with each project's electrical architecture. Interfaces and communication protocols are defined in model-specific technical documentation.
Battery management.
A battery management system provides state-of-charge and state-of-health monitoring.
Cybersecurity.
Controls include role-based access, signed updates, and VPN with multi-factor authentication, with reference to IEEE 1547.3. Support for the owner's NERC CIP program is defined per project.
Commissioning and service
Support through commissioning and beyond.

Service agreements.
Long-term service agreements are available, including remote monitoring and preventive maintenance.
Critical spares.
We maintain a critical spares inventory, including bushings, protection devices, BMS boards, contactors, and cooling fans.
